Meeting (Luna and Ake) PG-13

It was a clear day. The air was crisp. The sun shined in all of it's glory. Luna slowly walked down a path to the Tenchi Bridge. She needed to cross it. After all, the only way to get to the Akatsuki base from her location was to cross the bridge. Her shoes crunched the rocks below her. Birds watched her in envy as she walked by. Her straw hat protected her from the heat. It was a hot day after all. Luna came within visual reach to the Tenchi Bridge. Across, was just a plain forest. Beyond that forest, where many secrets. Luna was face to face with the bridge now. She took caution on crossing it. The wood was very weak and creaked as she walked slowly across. She was going to be late. She already could tell. She didn't know what the source of her being late would be, but she knew she would arrive late. She stopped for a minute. She tried to figure out what was causing her to be late. Perhaps it was just the fact that she was standing still? Luna shrugged off the thought and walked on. Ignoring her lateness.

Akeuyota had begun to walk from the Wind Country to Earth Country, to visit the new Kage. On his way to the country, however, he would have to pass through Grass Country, which was inevitable. The only thing that was stopping him from reaching his destination, though, was the ancient Tenchi Bridge, which was scary as hell. He wasn't the usual sight for most people, in the sense that nearly anyone that saw him was instantly terrified of him. He held such an expression on his face that struck fear into citizens, and he had such dark rings under his eyes - which scared people off, if they had stuck around from his intimidating, frightening gaze. He gave off such a negative aura that anyone would know that he was bad news, but he also had such a powerful chakra reading that they also knew not to screw with him. He was nothing to be mocked, but if there was such a brave person to mock him, he would cause them to blow up from their heart, and burst into flames - he just wouldn't stand for it.

For his trip to meet thew new Kage, he hadn't really brought anything with him - just his katana and some ink wells and a brush. There was nothing else he needed to bring, besides food; but he figured he wouldn't be caught up in the Grass Country, for long at least. There was another thing that people were terrified of, as he walked by them, which they only received a glance - but it was scary nonetheless. His eyes had begun to become completely engulfed by his Dōjutsu from his bloodline, which was known as the Fenikkusu no Me. The phoenix like images over his pupils were way out of the ordinary, and out of people's comfort zones - so they avoided him. As he began to approach the bridge, his shaggy white hair began to blow in the wind. He sensed something, even though his perception of chakra wasn't the best, he could still sense it. The chakra source was close too. Across the bridge he could see a woman with a strangely familiar chakra reading, just like his - but he had never seen her before. He noticed her beautiful blond hair, and pretty physical appearance - as she began to come to the bridge. He noticed she stopped, before getting on the bridge, which made him wonder if she was distressed. Akeuyota was quite chivalrous, so he walked to the lady and began to speak. "Hello Miss. I noticed you seem kind of distraught, are you okay?"

Luna, having snapped out of her pondering moment, turned to face the man that was talking to her. For a second, she swore that she saw a quick flashback of the man smiling. Younger perhaps. Luna shook it out of her head. The heat was probably making her ill. She turned her attention away from the boy. Clearly ignoring what he had asked of her. "Go away.." she said in a tone that sounded rude, but was not meant to be rude. She turned her head to the sun. Staring at it for the moment.

"You must please him.." a evil voice said that lurked in the darkness. Luna nodded as a reply. The voice chuckled. "Learn quickly my dear, he may not find your talents pleasing..". Luna shook off the comment. "I'll have to do my best then." she briefly replied. Luna could sense that the voice smiled. "Good..good..". The voice faded away. Luna believed that it was gone, but it returned. "You must never give away your identity...it would ruin everything..and will mean your death..". The voice laughed maniacally and finally faded. Luna moved her hair back and sighed.

Back in the present, Luna woke herself up from her thoughts. Mocking the words the man said in her head.
"You must never give away your identity.."
Luna turned sharply around and threw 3 senbon directly at the man, hoping for a hit.

The woman treated Akeuyota very coldly, which he didn't approve of. She froze though, almost as if something was happening in her head - like an internal conversation. She even slipped up a few times speaking what she was thinking, out loud. She recognized him, he could even see it in her eyes, but he couldn't remember her. Or maybe he did, he began to have flash backs from his youth, of him and a smiling, tiny, blond girl. Could that be her? No, that would be impossible. It couldn't be her, he was told that she died of a virus at a very young age. He even recalled a conversation with the girl, many years ago. The words brother and sister, being used - which would mean they were related somehow.

Something was going to happen though, his Dōjutsu allowed him to sense it. He noticed the girl reaching for some senbon, and then threw them at Akeuyota. He had already seen this play in his mind, however, so he began to perform his hand seals at lightning speed. He had to say them in his head as he went, so he would know he was doing them correctly. Dragon, Tiger, Hare. Before he completed the hand seals, he announced his jutsu out loud, which was accustomed. "Ninjutsu: Fenikkusu no buresu!" Immediately after completing the hand seals, with the exception of hare, and after the last words came from his throat, he began to feel the chakra building up in his throat, slightly warming it, causing it to become irritated. He couldn't keep his mouth closed much longer as he was about to let loose the chakra, which would manifest as flames. He held his hands in the hare hand seal, as he opened his mouth - releasing the flames. The senbon disintegrated immediately, and only ash was left - which fell to the floor. He stood there, after using the jutsu, hoping it didn't harm the girl at all - just destroyed the senbon that had flown at him. He now sat there, awaiting the next move of the girl.

Luna stood back in amazement. The flames had completely rid of her senbon. They nearly reached for her when they vanished. Obviously, the boy did not wish to harm her. Still, she was not the slightest impressed. She moved her hair back and chuckled. "What was that..?" she asked in a sarcastic tone and laughed. She reached back for more senbon. This time, she charged them with lightening. They sparked brightly and electricity flowed through them. "Let's see you dodge this!!" she said loudly as she threw the senbon at him. Of course, this was only a mere distraction. Luna ran up behind the senbon, following their lead and leaped behind the boy. After doing so, she went to strike the boy with a sharp kicks. Her boots were perfect for this kind of kick. The senbon rushed quickly towards their target and began to spark more as they came within range. Luna had only hoped that this plan would work. It seemed to have been working out nicely. Now, all she had to do was be sure that the senbon would not hit her. It could be lethal after all. As she moved to make her first kick, another image appeared in her head. This time, it was with her, smiling with a younger boy in her hand. At first glance, Luna couldn't tell who it was. However, she pondered the thought of it and wondered who it was. Completely off guard, Luna forgot that she was attacking and flinched for a bit, forgetting what she was doing. She blinked. The senbon continued to rush quickly.

Another rude action by the girl, more combat. Senbon? Really? He had just destroyed them, he had shown her that he was capable of destroying them. He noticed she vanished, but again - he could sense her, and his eyes did not lie to him. Did she not realize that he had the ability of foresight? Not many people did, until they noticed he could counter any attack that they used, which pissed them off. This time was no exception, he was not going to get hit - he had no time for foolish games like this. Her robes were familiar though, those of a vicious gang, if he remembered correctly. A gang that he wished to get into, but he couldn't - unless his village was destroyed, leaving him no loyalties. She threw these as a distraction, and she is right behind me - attempting to kick me. This is a child like game! He drew his katana very quickly, after leaving an after image like apparition in front of the girl, which would distract her. Beyond the advantage of his foresight and the dodge he just performed, there were still senbon - flying right at the girl. With a flick of his wrist, which made his katana twirl, he deflected all the senbon into the ground.

A huge smile came across his face as he watched the girl. He quickly sheathed his katana, allowing it to fall back to his side. He put his hands behind his head, with his elbows out, like how he usually walked. This time he looked at the girl very inquisitively, almost trying to pinpoint what her reaction would be, yet he was still attempting to remember who she was. "Hey. You should really quit attacking me. You know what? I feel like I know you from somewhere, and this is an unfair fight... so I will give you some information. I can see any attack you make, before you even perform it. Get that through your head, okay?" With that being said, Akeuyota reached into his pack, which was on his back and pulled out a rice cake - which he began to bite into. He had pulled out several rice cakes, however, so he offered one to the girl. His hand was lingering in front of her face, holding the delectable beauties that were the rice cake. He chuckled as he looked at her, then began to speak once more. "Go on... you can eat it. Do not hesitate to take it, it isn't poisonous, at least not to my knowledge. If it is, then I am dead!" He began to chuckle more, as he continuously chewed on his cake.

Luna hated to accept fate, but this time she was forced to. She stared at the boy with hatred, but also passion. She admired his calm attitude and fighting style. She decided to take a break and sit with him. After all, he seemed peaceful. Luna knew that the probability of her actually killing him was low, so she let it slide for now. She wasn't hungry, so she denied the rice cake. Not because of the fear of poison, just out of not being hungry. She took off her straw hat and sighed. Luna usually would not be nice to someone, but she allowed it. She struggled to be nice towards the boy however, she managed. She opened her mouth to start a conversation.
"...Where were you headed to..?" she asked calmly as she took a sip of water from her water jug. She stared back at the sun, remembering the conference with the leader of the Akatsuki. Then she remembered. She was going to be late. This was the source of her being late. She was enraged, and gestured to attack the boy but calmed herself. It didn't matter if she were late anyways. The leader of the Akatsuki admired her and her talents. Surely he could let her pass just this once. She turned back to the boy and waited for a reply to her question.

He smiled as she took a seat, once she did so, he followed suit. He leaned back comfortably, taking back the rice cake she denied - laying it in his lap, so he could eat it next. He had just devoured his current rice cake, which left rice all over his face; this lead to Akeuyota wiping all the rice off of his face, he then stared back at the lady. She had just asked him a question, so he had to dignify it with a response. He smiled, cracking his neck a little as he unlatched his katana from it's strap, laying it, inside the sheathe, on the grass next to him. He began to prepare to speak, clearing his throat. "Okay, so there is a new Kage in the Earth Country. I wish to go meet him and possibly strike up an alliance with him... just so I have back up with anything that could go wrong in other countries. Basically... I am allying with anyone that wishes to back me up, in case I go a bit... 'mad'...." He let loose of the grin on his face, which would give the appearance that he knew full well he was going to do something in the near future, something unforgivable.

He looked back over at her, knowing he had answered her question. His hands dug into the grass, as the wind blew over head, sending chills down his spine and causing his hair to fly around wildly. It really was a pretty day, and even though he couldn't remember who this girl was - he didn't care. Simplicity in nature was all he needed, and a good conversation, even if this girl was difficult to speak to. She probably had trust issues, which would be understandable in the world of the shinobi, where most people are taught to lie consistently. He pulled a canteen out, filled with purified water from his village and began to drink it - even allowing some to pour down his face. As he swallowed the bit of water he poured into his mouth, in a single gulp, he laid the canteen in the floor and looked back at the girl. He had a sort of grin on his face as he said something. "I am not always this messy, I promise." He chuckled as he said this, again looking into the sky to admire its beauty.

She rolled her eyes at the thought. She could tell that he was messy some of the time, but decided to keep her mouth shut. The meeting would begin within 3 hours. It usually took Luna 4 hours to reach the base from this location. She was loosing time. Even though it was in her persona, she decided not to be rude towards the boy and flee while they were having a pleasant conversation. She turned to the sky. The sun was about to retire. She got up and sighed, grabbing her straw hat. She stared at it sharply, almost as if she despised the hat. She put it on and put her water battle away in it's holder.
"I am....terribly sorry but I must go.." Luna said in a struggled tone.
She did her best to be polite. She hated that boy deep down. He was the type to go on and on about his achievements and claim he would be the best shinobi ever. Luna laughed in her head at the thought. She looked down the path which she needed to travel down. Darkness consumed the forest. The moon was nearly awoken. Luna wasn't scared of traveling alone, it just made her feel empty. She was going to "nicely" suggest if the boy wanted to come along but she didn't. Bringing him along would only cause trouble with the Akatsuki, resulting in her having to kill him. She began to walk in the direction she needed to go. Time was running out.

She was abruptly leaving, how nice. He hadn't even talked to the girl but ten or twenty minutes and she was already leaving. But she seemed like she was needing to get somewhere, even when he saw her from across the Tenchi Bridge - so he let her go, just to be polite in return. Even if she was rude in the first place, she was at least attempting to be polite now, which was okay with Akeuyota. He sighed as she left and he just stared at her, watching her go as the moon began to shine in the sky. He began to have flash backs of him killing his father, which happened in the moonlight, his eyes blazing violently like a fire or some sort of beast from a myth. This was no exception, he didn't expect her to stay long - he could read her like a book, and her face said it all.

"Goodbye miss, I will see you again eventually - it is fate, and is totally inevitable." With that he stood up, brushing the grass leaves off of him, looking at the sky. He didn't like to directly look at the moon, but it always sat there taunting him of his past actions - which bothered him. He threw his pack back on, and threw the one rice cake for the girl into the ravine under the bridge. He had no need for such a snack that was turned down, so it took its rightful place - at the bottom of the pit under the bridge. With a pop of his back and a slight yawn and stretch, he began to walk slowly - forward, towards the Earth Country. All that he could do now was hope his plea to the new Kage of the country would result in an undeniable yes, and an allegiance. This couldn't happen, because no one would trust a stranger and ally with them, even if they were honest and told the person that they may get in a ton of trouble. It didn't matter, however, for he would just have to hope that this would work.
