The Rising Moon (Luna and Ake) (PG)

The sun was nearly setting on the horizen. The sky was crisp and filled with vibrant colors. Dark purples, light oranges, you name it. It was the perfect evening. The grass swayed in the light breeze. Following it's direction. The trees stretched over as well. The cliff stood in all of it's glory. Overlooking Tanzaku Town. Luna was walking her way up the cliff. She stepped softly on the grass as it crunched under her feet. Insects squirmed to get out of her way. She had been sent on an assasination mission by Megumi and did not want to let the sun set too early before she found her target. It was a political man. Plump but slightly old. He had gray hair and glasses. He was also deemed "dangerous". Luna was near the edge of the cliff now. It would give her a good view of the town before enetering it. She wanted to scan possible locations on where her target could be located. She surveyed the area. A market square. Casinos. A residental area. Luna paused for a second. Could he be there? Luna thought about it before eyeing the temple located in the center of the town. Luna gazed at the temple. That's where the man was hiding. She chuckled a bit and smiled. "Gotcha.." she said quietly to herself. She leaped off the cliff, plunging into a small revene below. She landed with grace and without injury. The town was not that far away now.

The sun was soon setting. The moon clearly seen in the sky now. Luna had to decide if she wanted to attack now. In the silence of the night, she would be able to kill her target swiftly and efficently. However, she may also accidently kill the wrong target. In daylight, she would be able to see her target clearly. However, someone might spot her. She thought about it for a while. Making up her mind, she decided to continue on with her mission during nightfall. After all, it was within just a few minutes before the sun would set. The moon would soon take it's place in the sky, looking down upon Luna. Luckily, she had enough supplies for her to wait out until night. She sat down calmy a few meters away from the town gate and sat in peace. She was annoyed about the birds chirping in the trees, but did her best to ignore it.

She still continued to ponder about her life. She remembered meeting a young boy. She forgot his name. She didn't care about his name though. She never really met him anyways. Still, she could've sworn that she had met him before. She shook it off. No point thinking about it now. Night nearly consumed the land. This was Luna's chance now. She walked near the gate silently and stood by the town's wall. She sensed that someone was near her. She did her best to hide. She didn't want her or the Akatsuki to be discovered.

The world was so fast paced now, as opposed to when this Shinobi was such a young boy. Just a few years back he remembered life to be simplistic and full of love and life, instead of the hard, harsh times that are now ahead of him. Those were the times, back then - that he was just a boy with no ambition except to find any members of his clan, back when he was pure. The thought of how corrupt a world could become, in just a matter of years, boggled Ake's mind. It was unbelievable on so many levels - but he still tried to ponder the situation, regardless of how confusing it was. The thoughts raced through his heads like Formula One cars around a track, as he laid back against the grass of a hill that overlooked the city of Tanazku Gai.

The past two weeks had been hell for Ake too, much unwanted publicity and a ton of energy use as he ran across the different countries. Trips that lasted days from country to country, visiting the different Kage and even running into the so called head of the Akatsuki organization. Things were rough, but somehow the Shinobi still manged to prevail. Yet the one thing that truly tormented him of his journey was the one image that never went away, the same image that burned the back of his cerebral cortex. That blond woman was so oddly familiar that it tortured Akeuyota every night, since he had last seen her. He knew her from somewhere, yet he couldn't just put his finger on it like he would like to. This was one of the more difficult tasks in life - even more so than the path of Chuunin to Jounin.

He hadn't really felt many special chakra readings, due to his poor perception of things - but his Fenikkusu no me was capable of reading everything, even down to the rats moving inside the town. His eyes lit up with the phoenix over the pupils as he gazed around in attempt to search for anything remotely special, which was difficult to find seeing as Fire Country posed nothing of importance to Ake. The only thing that had really caught his attention was the security of a fat man in a bell tower like structure. There were many Anbu and Jounin roaming around outside of this building, searching for any threats that may have been sent to destroy him. He could sense something else, too, which didn't really catch him off guard till he said it out loud. "She's here....." As he said this, he could see that blond haired woman that he had met days ago - off in the distance. She was pressed against the walls of the town, in order to stay hidden, but she wasn't doing a good enough job to hide from the gaze of the Shigeko's Fenikkusu no me.

With a quick burst of speed, he was up and gone from that location that was on the hill. He made his way down almost burning the grass from the speed that he was running, and he even added in a few light speed dashes - almost creating mirror images of himself in the backdrop. The distance was quite far between the two, but he was determined to get to her, whatever it took - he would be there. He quickly ran through the streets, barely avoiding knocking over innocent pedestrians and salesman. This was an impossible task for most people, and even this Special Jounin was having some difficult with this current situation. How was he even meant to go through this without hurting someone and drawing attention to himself? A few turns had gone by as he made the final approach to the wall, where he could see the woman's blond hair flowing behind some buildings. Excellent The only word that came to mind, as he approached the woman. He put his hand on her shoulder as he came up behind her, and whispered into her ear. "So... what are you doing here? You are so fixated on the plump man that it intrigues me. What is the deal lady? And we have unfinished business, I know you... I have no idea how, but I do know you."

Luna turned to see a man behind her. Not to her surprise of course. However, it was not who she had expected it to be. It wasn't a guard. Nor was it a politician. It was that idiotic child. Luna forgot his name. She shrugged it off. It was no use to her. She did have one question however. How did he exactly find her? Had he been stalking her all this time? Or perhaps he enjoyed her company from last time. Either way, she would not tolerate him following her. She let out a sigh and stared at him. She disliked him so, but still had a slight feeling of fondness for him.

"It's none of your business why I am here," she replied sharply to the boy. She turned her eyes away from him to finish her sentence. "I know nothing of you, so just leave me alone okay?". She wanted to shoo him away. Eventually, he would get in the way of her mission and screw the entire operation up. This politician needed to be killed at once. That way, the Akatsuki could move on with their plans. As Luna finished up her sentence, she fell in silence. Small memories appeared in her mind at once.

It was a rainy day. Not the storm type of day, but it was still pretty bad. The rain pounded against the ground and the ceiling of the house. Luna crept her way through the house and peered into a room. The room was barely colored. If it was, it was such a light color, that it was impossible to see. Toys could clearly be seen tossed around on the floor. Some loomed in corners. In the middle of the room stood a crib. Inside, an obnoxious baby was heard crying and kicking. Luna looked into the crib. It was a boy, and he had light gray hair. The baby looked up at her for a second and stopped crying. Luna left the room and the baby began screaming again. An older lady rushed into the room to calm him down. It didn't work. In the next room, was an older boy. Possible older than Luna. He sat by the window, staring outside of it. Possibly wishing he could go outside perhaps? The memories soon faded. Luna held her head for a second. It was pulsing. She calmed herself down and got up to walk to the town's gate. The moon had finally risen.
