| ~Getting To Know You~ Name: Vox Revall-Rethanos-Graundeur-Winchester Iscariot-Vauxhall XXV Clan: None Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Age: 26 Height: 6'1" Body Type: Slim | Muscular Appearance: - Spoiler:
Vox has a rather rugged exterior, taking on those traits that resemble his father more then anyone else. A slender and lean face, though he is extraordinarily average looking. Some people think he's ugly, some think he's a most attractive son of a bitch in the world, and some dont really give a crap. Not very many of his traits pop out, or rather they dont exactly catch your eye. Because, if you think about it, would you suspect an extraordinarily average looking person to be special? If so, then everyone you cross on the streets are special. Vox did gain a trait from his mother, and that would be her hair. Vox has very long and silky smooth hair. Why you ask? Its not just hereditary. His barber's name is Zohan, and thus he is always made silky smooth. He has an average skin tone, lightly tanned in its hue. Though nothing special. He has a tattoo under his left eye, a simple line. A simple and thick line. And one tattoo on his right arm, right below his wrist on the top. A series of weird markings. And it really doesn't mean antything. He simply thought it looked cool. The man stands at six foot one inch and weighs about one hundred and eighty pounds, much of it being muscle mass. He is still slender, however, and his muscles compact on his flesh very well. You wouldnt know he was as chiseled as he was unless you saw him without clothes. Vox has pitch black eyes, completely void of any other tint. which are very common amongst the Konoga populace. Even in the clans of Konoha. As per clothing, Vox likes to dress to impress. Or atleast he likes the clothes he wears to a great extent. His signature style includes; a cowboy style hat with his forehead protector wrapped around it. A fishnet is located around his neck area, and even raises high enough to cover his chin. His Flak jacket is hardly ordinary, having a great amount of fur upon it. Only around the top, however, making it seem almost like an Inuzuka hoodie, or something similar. His flak jacket also has a small smiley face upon the extended sleeve attached to it. Average ninja pants, with wrapping on key portions, and ninja sandals are worn. And he likes to wear the regulation ANBU gloves, with the metal plates upon them. They are great for handling weapons, for being fingerless. And the metal plates are great for blocking unspecialized weapons. Village: Konohagakure no Sato | Village Hidden in the LeavesRank: S-Rank Missing-nin (Jounin) Profession: Scouting | Escorting | Rescue | Tracking | Messenger | Security Personality: Vox shouldnt be mistaken as a lazy moron, even if he seems like so. He is a very relaxed human being, and can be very lazy at times. He wants to enjoy himself as much as possible, and doesnt like it when someone spoils his fun. Its uncalled for! He likes to lay back and watch the world work before him. And he hardly has the ambition to change the world. He has a certain distaste for those who do want to change the world, believing that nature should be the only thing that changes the world. Anyone who tries is screwing with the natural order of things. And when the natural order is disturbed, then the system falls apart. They are wrenches in the gears, breaking the cogs. Plus those types of people often think very highly of themselves. He didnt like people who thought highly of themselves. They were ignorant pricks, the lot of them. The world would be better off without them. The only thing he hates more then the arrogant are rude women, a side effect of his past no doubt. Though this is somewhat contradictory, as his dream woman is rude. For reasons, im sure, you can imagine. Nothing really turns the dude on more then a woman with a short fuse. Especially since they get aggressive . That being said, he is a charmer. He likes to think of himself as a smooth talker, in a way. You could blame it on the cowboy hat, it gives him swag. He knows he has swag and uses it to pick up chicks. Why you ask? Because its one of his dreams. To get laid in every village by one woman of every ethnicity. It is an inappropriate dream, but its a dream of his. Making Vox a bit of a horndog who cant keep his mouth closed when an attractive woman passes him by. This is why women are one of the only things in this world that can piss him off, make him happy, and control him, simultaneously. Though, like all vices, Vox has the ability to come to his sense and think for himself. Despite his laid-back, comedic, and well mannered nature. Vox has a darker side. He is only human and thus suffers the same downsides that they all do. It became very clear, easrly in his life, that he has the ability to hate someone so much that he would watch them die. He would leave them to die and not think twice about it. And he would take life without blinking if he had to. His trust, loyalty, and friendship are also easy to lose. He is a man who is only bound by what he chooses to bind himself to. He doesnt see why he has to care about someone if he doesnt want to. And thus he can break off a 20 year friendship, if he saw fit, without feeling anything. He also has a situational attitude. Meaning his mood can effect how he acts to certain things. /Now We're Talking\ Fighting Style: If one were to truly conquer an opponent in battle, they mustve be able to adapt. Sticking to one absolute style, and never changing, is a foolish way to enter any battle situation. That being said Vox doesnt exactly have a set battle style. As he does his best to change it up based on his opponents own style. However, his jutsu and use of weaponry often restrict him to a close-to-mid range combat style. Other traits that should be mentioned are; his extremely lax nature. He always does his best to keep a level head and stay calm. His attentiveness. His ability to stay highly focused and perceptive. Which, he thinks, is always a good way to get the upper hand. Even snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. And his resilience and determination. To never give up when it really matters. Cause if it doesnt matter, then there's no point in risking your life for it. Name: Lightning Release: False Darkness Description: After the user performs the necessary handseals, they gather Raiton chakra into their mouths. They can then emit lightning, in the shape of a spear, from their mouth, which then pierces the enemy. Its destructive power is great enough to even pierce through rock; meaning it has a high killing potential. The user can even increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies, though that naturally costs more chakra. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Training Thread: S
Name: Lightning Release: Liger Bomb Description: After covering himself in his Lightning Release Armour, the user grabs his opponent and lifts them high into the air. Then, using his extreme strength, he smashes them head first onto the ground in what resembles a powerbomb manoeuvre. This is devastating enough to shatter a large area of the ground itself on impact. The jutsu has astounding damage potential, and it would be wise to not get caught in it. Jutsu Type: Nintaijutsu Jutsu Grade: A
Name: Lightning Release: Guillotine Drop Description: The user covers themselves in their lightning release armour and charges at their opponent, or they can just stand still. They will jump into the air and perform a downwards kick at their opponent. The technique speeds up neural synapses to react faster to danger and to push physical prowess to the absolute limit, allowing for tremendous raw speed and monstrous power. The armour also provides a great defense, making most attacks inert upon contact. Extremely powerful attacks, however, can pierce the armour. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade: S
Name: Tailed Beast Ball Description: The Tailed Beast Ball is the penultimate of the Jinchuuriki jutsu. To perform the jutsu the Jincuuriki gathers both positive black chakra and negative white chakra shape it into a sphere, and then compress it inside their mouth. The ball can be fired differently, either in sphere form, which gives it a wide area of damage, or as a concentrated beam of energy which gives it explosive penetrative power. The Jinchuuriki must be in Tailed beast form to use this jutsu. The more tails a Jinchuuriki has, the more damage this jutsu causes. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade: S
Name: Lightning Release: Black Panther Description: This technique creates a substantial amount of Black Lightning which takes the form of a panther-like creature that seems to emanate from the user's own body. Basic: - Spoiler:
Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Jutsu) Description: A basic jutsu taught to those within the academy it is a technique designed to get you in and out of a horrible situation. By replacing your body with an object (Block of wood for example) one can switch places with said object. Upon the opponents impact with the user it creates an optical illusion making them believe (At least most of the time) that their attack was successful, if only for a split second. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade: E
Name: Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Jutsu) Description: This technique was designed to make you move very fast, over both short and long distances. Name: Henge no Jutsu - Transformation Technique Description: Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents. However, it does not grant one the properties of said objects or skills of that person, meaning turning into a weapon will not allow you to cut an opponent and turning into a dog will not give you a great sense of smell. This technique can also be used in conjunction with someone, who may a person, a pet or a summoning creature, in which case it is called Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation). However, its principles remain the same. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade: Training Thread:
Name: Kai - Release Description: A very useful technique that dispels or prevents the effects of genjutsu in its early stages. To perform it, the user only needs to hold their hands in a tiger hand seal and channel some chakra into it. A lower-level genjutsu will be dispelled without any harm to the user. This can also be done on someone else, in which case the user must touch them before releasing the technique. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade:
Name: Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing Description: A skill that every self-respecting shinobi must have. It is based on concentrating chakra to the soles of one's feet and using it to stick to objects, which would allow one to walk on vertical surfaces and even upside down. This is also often used as chakra control training, since the soles of the feet are said to be the hardest place to control your chakra. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade:
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza - Act of Water Surface Walking Description: A more advanced technique than Kinobori, it allows one to walk on water or other similar liquid or amorphous objects. It is used in a similar fashion to its predecessor, but the shinobi must also release a constant flow of chakra into the water to keep themselves on its surface. It is often used as advanced chakra control training, since it takes the same basic concept as tree climbing technique and kicks it up a notch. Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Grade:
Life can be cold without partners... Summon Name: None Summon Type: None Description: None Summon Link: None ...Let's Take it Down a Notch... Relations:History: Vox has had a humble upbringing, coming for a family in shambles. His mother and father were in poverty by the time he was born, thus he was raised on the pretense that life just doesnt go the way you want it to. The majority of his youth was spent in a house where there was barely anything. Everything they did have was rationed so it could last as long as possible. Save for special days, such as his birthday and holidays, nothing special was ever had. His mother was out of work and his father barely made enough with his job. His father worked at a steel mill in Konoha. And spent hours in very dangerous work conditions for very meager pay. If anyone every tells you that the dangerous jobs pay most, then they are liars. So his mother often spent much of her day worrying if his father would ever come home. And, of course, he always did. Bringing home the bacon, as they say. Though Vox rarely got any bacon. Even if it was his favorite food. He often got chastized by his fellow villagers, the children atleast, for being so poor. It was hard to believe at first, that children could be so cruel. But after time he grew accustom to it and attempted to get accepted by his peers. While his mom and dad spent their days trying to get by, he became somewhat of a troublemaker. As children tended to like those who caused trouble. He pulled every prank in the book, though didnt go as far as to paint the Hokage faces. Cause only morons would do something so cliche and canon. He specialized in more subtle pranks. Like loosening the pipes in the womens restrooms or replacing diabetic villagers medicine bottles with sugar pills. Aye, even at a young age he exemplified certain Shinobi-like traits. Which was why he was so good at sneaking into places and screwing with people. Its needless to say that he did become popular among his own, and all was forgotten about his poorness. His new found fame didnt last very long, however. As he was soon found out and punished for his transgressions. He was forced to perform community service within the village, to pay off all the damage he did to the womens restrooms. And to show how sorry he was for almost killing a large amount of Konoha citizens. Suffice to say he was no longer popular. And even became less liked then he used to be. Because he happened to change the pills of the parents of some of the kids he hung out with. And thus he fell back into his old life of ridicule. He tried his best to not let it get to him, and spent even less time outdoors as he grew older. Inversely his parents fortunes began to change when his father was promoted to floor manager, and began to get paid a considerably larger amount of money. Though his never became richie rich, he did begin to enjoy his home life a great deal more. And with the children around him no longer having a reason to pick on him, he was no longer the target for their douchebaggery. His community service took a turn for the better when he was tasked with looking after an old woman who was in her twilight of life. He was to make her feel better before she passed. She didnt know this, even if everyone else did. She simply thought he was a boy sent to keep her company, which was all she really asked him to do. Vox was surprised when he discovered she was a retired shinobi. She would regale him with tales of her past, missions and the like. And often showed him images of her old friends. It was she who first suggested that Vox become a shinobi, citing his "satisfactory" personality. And his determination which he showed a great deal of at his young age. Not to mention his uncanny ability to micromanage and cook a mean BLT. He rather liked the idea, though. And he liked the freedom he would gain with the title. He didnt realize the amount of work it would take, and the old lady did little help in telling him so. His parents were, of course, against the idea of him being a ninja. And their reluctance seemed to go far beyond the simple "its dangerous". They seemed to really fear Vox doing anything ninja like. Anything dangerous. They were very elusive on as to why they refused to let him be a shinobi. But after a lot of crying and whining and threatening to runaway, they finally revealed to him the truth. Vox was the Jinchuuriki of the Eight-Tails Bijuu. And they were scared that something would go wrong and he would die. Or the Bijuu would kill him and get set free. He assured them that they were simply living in fear and they were holding him back from accomplishing his dream. Which was to be a powerful and free shinobi. And to travel the world. Since his parents were such mary sue bastards, they were filled with overwhelming happiness and pride. So they let him be a ninja because he wasnt a mary sue like them, and wasnt an emo Jinchuuriki dillweed. The same couldnt be said for some of the kids in his class. A vast majority of them were boringly ordinary and were un-extraordinary in ever way. Others, however, were complete morons. They wore eye make-up and were socially awkward. A lot of their parents were dead and none of them were easy to get along with. It was like they were all puppets, being played by some uncreative asshole who thought they were original. Then there were a few, an even smaller margin, who were pretty legit. And didnt suck. Of course they were hard to come by and often had their own thing going on. Nonetheless, Vox remained a bit of a loner in his academy years, had very little friends. Though that was by choice, as he didnt believe he really needed any. Sure they were cool. And having someone to spill your guts to was a great way to remain sane. But that always begged the question; who said Vox wanted to be sane anyways? Sanity was far too mainstream, unless you count those nutcases. You know, those whose ideals make no sense whatsoever. Vox's life took a turn for the worst when his soon-to-be younger sister died in still birth, his mother managed to pull through though. It just so happened this was around Vox's graduation from the ninja academy, after being there for nearly five years. So it doesnt take a genius to realize he was taken as an inferior. For crying out loud! It took him five years to graduate. However you can chalk that up to his relaxed and, seemingly, uncaring nature. He got in a great deal of trouble in the academy. Simply by not doing what he was supposed to do, just because he didnt care much to do it. No matter. He was placed in a team with a group of all to similar characters, or atleast they seemed so. His first teammate was a real piece of work, your teenage girl. Unable to take responsibility for her own actions, totally useless, and wore her heart on her sleeve. Not to mention she had a crush on a member of their rival team. They werent their rival team because their sensei were rivals, they were their rival team because their students were rivals. Vox had a particularly strong rivalry with a boy by the name of Zareth. Who was, surprisingly, the boy his retarded teammate had her crush on. It was all stupidly cliche and was a big headache to te young Vox. She happened to pester him to much, and root for Zareth over him soo much, that Vox grew a deep distaste for her. Their conflicting personalities lead the team into strife. Vox no longer participated with her and often left her in extremely dangerous sitation by herself. And when she lectured him about teamwork and that jazz, he simply told her that he didnt care for her. And she should save her breathe, cause she was wasting her time. Suffice to say they never did level out their relationship, and he made it his personal goal to make her cry any chance he got. His sensei and other teammate thought he was cruel. But they obviously didnt realize how fuckin annoying she was too him. And how unfit she was to be a shinobi. And in his eyes, alive. Vox did have a strong friendship with his male teammate, a Medical ninja. He was a bit feminine, but was a real cool cat. Not to mention he got picked on for his femininity, and inablility to act masculine at all. And while Vox simply saw the boy as a good friend, he was completely oblivious to the boys feelings for him. And it wasnt until he became older, and looked back on his life, that he realized the dude was sexually attracted to him. Which sent fuckin shivers down his spine. Kaori, his female teammate, often ridiculed Hammond, his male teammate, and said that women didnt find him very attreactive. And that he should act more like a boy. Which Vox often retorted that she had no fuckin idea what women liked, cause she was still a little girl. That only made the relationship exponentially more fragile, especially when the Chuunin exams spilled in. Vox was willing to put their differences aside for the greater good, but she wasnt. During the entire exams she mocked him for asking her for help, and did everything in her power to make the experience a living hell. Unfortunately for her, she ended up getting critically wounded in the exam. Hammond was nowhere to be found, as Vox couldnt find him anywhere. The boy had gotten tired of their constant bickering and went ahead by himself. And since Vox didnt care much for the girl, he left her to die. Much to his dismay, she didnt. As Hammond returned out of guilt and saved her life. From that moment on both her and Hammond gave up on Vox, and no longer counted him as one of their teammates. You could say they disowned him. That didnt matter, though. Cause he was the only one from his team to get promoted to Chuunin status after the Exams, much to the surprise of Hammond, Kaori, and even his own sensei. Which is a good thing. Cause if he hadnt, he would have had to request a team change. Or worst, actually put up with those assholes for another year. Vox's Chuunin years were exactly as monotonous as he imagined they would be. Being a ninja wasnt everything he chalked it up to be. He thought he'd be having fun, taking missions around the world. The only time he every lived his dream were during his escorting missions. In which he escorted traders between allied villages. Then he saw the world, and did what he always imagined himself doing. Being locked in that village was a bummer. It was like the village was covered with smoke. He'd forget that there was a world outside. Nothing amazing happens in that village. And he soon got used to that, used to a world where everything is ordinary. Every day he spent there was like a whole lifetime of dying slowly. And other then his missions, he spent a great deal of time taming his Bijuu. It was a dreadful task, and it tested him to his greatest lengths. There were times when he thought he could never do it, that he would always be tormented by the beast inside of him. The more he delved into his Jinchuuriki powers, the more difficult it became to return his old self. Back when he was a child and he didnt even know he was a Jinchuuriki. Back when his Bijuu never bothered him. Its like they say, when youre in a hole, stop digging. At one point in time, the Hachibi nearly killed him and consumed his body. If it werent for his sheer willpower, he wouldnt have suppressed the beast. And Konoha would most likely be in shambles. But he had something to fight for, something to put his faith in. And that was himself. Indeed. When the Bijuu was breaking its way out Vox didnt think of his famliy, or the village. He thought of his dreams. And that it would all end if he was too weak to stop it. And so he overcame the hardships, time after time. And the time came when he tamed his Bijuu to perfection, and truly became the King. While forcing his Bijuu to become the horse. He was now a true Jinchuuriki and a vital importance to the village. It wasnt until Vox became a Jounin that he gained his fame. He became a power-player in the Hidden Leaf after he killed the Swordsmen owner of Kiba and took them for himself. The battle was referred to as his greatest triumph, and one of the greatest battles he had ever done. If not THE greatest. The swordsmen himself was a missing ninja, as were a majority of those damn Kiri ninja, and happened to attack the wrong convoy on their way to Kiri. And Vox wondered why he was given this mission while he was doing it. Escorting a convoy of traders is hardly a Jounin level mission. But if you add one crazed super-powered swordmen from the bloody mist, then you start to see why he was chosen. It was only a few months after he acquired Kiba and became a famous ninja in his own right, that he realized none of this meant anything. He had become an outstanding ninja. He had become famous around the village. He had made his parents proud and even gotten laid more times then he could count, which was a lot. But he hadnt achieved his own dreams. He hadnt seen the world, nor had he been outside of Konoha for more then a few days. He was the Hokage's bitch, and he was tired of it. It was time for him to live the life he wanted, not what others expected of him. He would see the entire world, he would dine in every village. And he would do something he dreamed of doing since he was 18....get laid in every ninja village in existence. By one woman of each nationality. Cause that was something to truly shoot for. Vox wandered into the Ark just as nonchalantly as he had always done. The five or so caskets holding the bodies of the recently excavated and retrieved remained where he had left them. He was depressed to see them there, not moved, not touched, not tampered with at all. You could say it left a bit of a whole in his heart. Sakura had all but disappeared from the world, leaving him alone among the sentient dimension. He remembered her more predominantly, even more so then Riu. He missed them, all of them. Yes, he even missed Riu. Even if she was a little bitch! As he walked by the coffins he slid his hands across their surfaces. Marble caskets, all of them. Even those he had dug up in those horrible wood chips people liked to call coffins. He knew when his aunt and uncles time came he would bury them in crystal. Crystal then drop them in the ocean. Yea, that was the way to go. He had heard his uncle wanted to be burned, turned to ash. And he never really understood the lure in having your body reduced to compost like that. Plus he was deathly scared that he would suddenly wake up in the middle of the process! If that was the way he would have himself disposed of it would have to be the fire of some insanely powerful Katon jutsu. Something from a Pyra or the Black Flames of the Uchiha. Then, even if he did wake up, it wouldnt hurt for all that long. And if he was lucky it would be instantaneous. His ashes wouldnt be placed on a mantle piece or anything like that. You always imagined his family passing by the ashes, day by day, and just staring at them. Thats what he would do if he had his loved ones ashes ontop of his fireplace. Which, by the way, was worst place to put them. Put ashes over something meant to burn? Now youre just mocking them!
He leaned against the casket of the Taijutsu boy, Djay Payne. Thats right, Djay. He had been killed by Kyojitsu on the hills of the Tea Country. Vox knew this because Tyler Djay knew this, or he did. Gaining the memories of a dead man was something particularly special. Because you held lost knowledge. Knowledge that had once been gone. Vox could tell you everything about Djay. Where he was born Otogakure. Where he fled to after Oto's fall Konoha. His best friend Isamu Nara. His greatest rival Isamu Nara. His dream To revive Oto. And even his greatest defeat At the hands of Isamu Nara on the plains of Konoha. Nothing the boy once knew was lost to him. And it was all in his head. And no one could get it unless he let them have it. Vox Iscariot was an encyclopedia at this point. He knew things that most people only ever dreamed of knowing. And that was thanks to Sakura. He toyed with the idea from time to time. Did she know that what she did allowed him to do what he did. What seemed like a playful slap from the young Daimyo allowed him to copy her energies. Did she know, though? A part of him tells him she did. And for whatever reason she allowed him to. He never did understand women. Always angry at the same time of the month. What was with that, anyways? Seriously? The SAME TIME of the month, every month! Thats usually when Vox took off to his mansion in the heart of Amegakure so get away. His doors were always open. He often allowed the children of the village to hang out in his office. You could often tell by the crayon marks on the walls. The ANBU despised it, lectured him on it. They had the right. They were his elders, even if he was their boss. He would one day learn. One day.
His elbow nudged the lid on the marble casket and slid it completely closed. He loved marble. Unlike stone it didnt make an irritating scratching sound when it rubbed up against itself. Gah! Nails on chalkboard, horrible horrible sounds. Thats how they used to wake him up in the morning, his family that is. They'd waltz in, both of them, and hold up a chalkboard. "Vox" his aunt would say, knowing full well he wouldnt wake up, "Its time to wake up!". She had a nice voice. It was the kinda voice that always put him to sleep. She used to sing him lullaby's when he was younger. So he grew up with the mindset that she was the person who put him to sleep. He never did grow out of that, never. His uncle would then try, receiving the same results. Then they'd scratch the sam hell out of the chalkboard with nails. It made the most.... horrifying sound ever! He would often wake up and bite his tongue, it scared him so much. Then he'd cry and his aunt would comfort him. She was like a mother to him. The only thing that didnt make her his mom was the fact that she hadnt given birth to him. She often told him that he could call her mom if he wanted to. But he never did, he never did. He didnt see the point in it. He didnt want to. It wasnt until a few days earlier that he realized the gesture wasnt for him. It was a selfish gesture on her part. It wasnt selfish in the normal sense of the word. It was a beautiful kinda selfish. When it came down to it all she really wanted was recognition from the boy. And him calling her "Mom" was apparently the pinnacle of that recognition to her. Vox didnt see anything wrong with that. And made note to call her mom the next time he saw her. He just wouldnt tell her he loved her, cause that was kinda icky.
You know when he first arrived here he had half expected Hio to still be here. He expected her to still be laying on the floor and experimenting with her essence. And he expected her second body to be walking around naked and tryna creep people out. But she wasnt there. The grass was, though. And the imprints her body made remained too. Hell even the lawnmower he manifested to cut the grass, that always regrow seconds after, remained. He wondered how the hell she even got out! Maybe she retained some connection with the Ark and it allowed her to leave. Or maybe she just....walked off. Back to Nirvana, whatever the hell that was. Wherever she was she had left her mark on him nonetheless. He had, in fact, committed his first "Evil" act with her. He had heard she was a manipulative little bitch, but she was something else in person. He didnt mean to blame her for what had happened. Even he thought what they had done was a good thing. And, you know, after hearing about what happened in Suna maybe it was? That girl had dug up the body of Ukyo. At least here in the Ark no one could get them. Well, no one but Kyojitsu that is. That thought stopped his heart dead. Thats right. Kyojitsu could enter the Ark and see these coffins! What would he say when he saw that someone had been digging up the dead? Luckily for them they hadnt taken one body from Kiri. Even if there was a chance that they had been Kiri ninja at one point. It would be poor judgement to assume that made it any less worst. With a simple thought he created a steel bunker around them.
Nowhere to go, nothing to do. his dry voice was the only thing heard in the Ark. Not even the Ark itself replied to his comment. He was really alone in this place, wasnt he? And who else in the world, other then Kyojitsu, was like him? No one! The day a fellow Crucis opens the Ark gates and steps into the Ark with him still within, will be the day he admits he had a thing for that angel....Ashwing. Even if he was still debating if she was real or not, which he highly doubted she was. His eyes scanned the empty expanse of the Ark. Left and right, top to bottom. When his sight beset upon his feet, he noticed that he stood directly upon the glyph circle he had made all that time ago. Yes, he remembered that. Such a timid and precise thing, those rituals. The glyphs were almost like a language of their own. And he only understood a fragment of what they all meant. As he drew he read; life, energy, knowledge, and rebirth. The last one reminding him a little too much of something he'd rather never heard about again. He had grown weary of all the talk. Ferous even said himself that Shun was gone and Danso was no more. Vox didnt understand all the trouble him and Ender caused by investigating. Maybe they were paranoid? Or maybe Vox was just too damn naive. Either way the future didnt look to bright for someone, whether that be those two or him had yet to be seen!
Vox planted his foot on the glyphs that remained on the floor. His foot stamped and shuffled over them, kicking up dust. His left hands lying slipped into his ninja pouch and grasped the binding out a small notebook. The bounding was leathery and aged. It wasnt his, it was his moms. She had left it all to him before she died. Telling his uncle to give it to him when the time was right. Gah! That cryptic stuff always gave him a headache. "When the time is right". How on earth do you expect them to know what the "right time" is if you dont tell them? She probably just trying to make her last few hours seem cool. Vox would say she succeeded admirably. He only wished his last words would be something cool like that. Perhaps "Now, now my friend. Now is no time to be making enemies" or "I am Jack's wastes life" maybe even "Man, oh man, oh man" and he could be staring at a framed image of his family. Then he could give some mighty speech about how your life doesnt flash before your eyes the second before you die. He would say something cool like "It stretches on forever like an ocean of time". Though he never did have much of a thing for Firebirds. The notebook slipped from the ninja pouch and flopped open at his will. He gazed down at the notes jotted all around and upon the pages. The glyphs for another ritual. Except these were far more complex. Glyphs within glyphs. Even upon the pages it read, "Yo dawg, I heard you like glyphs. So i put glyphs inside glyphs so you can draw glyphs while you draw glyphs". He didnt get what that meant, but he assumed it was supposed to be funny.
His fingers flipping through the bible thin sheets of paper, Vox searched feverishly for the excerpt he had seen so many times before. It was also the smallest of all the excerpts with several pages torn out after it, signifying that whoever had torn them out didnt want anyone to know about it. Whatever was once written on the page was now covered with hundred of glyphs, all of them placed side by side almost as if it were made to be read. Vox couldnt read it. And it was very unlikely that he'd ever be able to understand them. The Seizui grand library had been burned to the floor decades prior. Any chance he had of learning this ancient language was gone! All he knew was what had been detailed in the confines of the journal, and even that was limited at best. He let out a deep grumble as he ran his hand through his hair. What did the glyphs mean? Was it a message? No, no its wasnt. Why would anyone write a message in a dead language? Unless it was written when the glyphs were far more common, then it wasnt meant for him to read. That is if these glyphs were even meant to mean something. Maybe he was reading too much into it? Grasping at straws, seeing shapes and thinking they mean something. He pushed off the coffin and closed the book. Dropping the leather bound notebook onto the surface of the casket, he took his shirt off and tossed it to the side. Similar glyphs were used for the last ritual, maybe these were used for another?
Manifesting a knife he gripped it tight and brought it across his fingers. He sliced his tips open, allowing the blood to flow. It hurt, it hurt alot. He often scared himself with his actions. He sometimes imagined himself as a viewer or reader. Watching or reading what was going on. What would they say when they saw or read about him just cutting himself like that? He was sure they'd be pretty creeped out. As he doubted most ordinary humans can cause themselves harm like that at a whim. Pivoting around he picked the journal back up and opened it to the desired page. This and that, none of this makes any sense! he barked as he drew the glyphs upon the floor under him and all upon his body. The warm blood touched his cold skin in globs. He sighed comfortably as his body temperature seemed to hike up a bit. His arms, chest and face were the main focus of the glyphs. All right. Lets see how this works out. he snapped the pages shut and sat down in his blood written circle. Closing his eyes he focused his essence across his entire body. The glyphs lit up like a Christmas tree before dancing around his body. They eventually expanded and merged together, making him take on the appearance of a shining man. A solid cocoon surface then wrapped around him and buried him within. His suspicions were absolutely correct! Oh. he so smrat!
